钦州坭兴陶是中国四大名陶之一。

坭兴陶以钦江两岸山腹地层内紫红陶土为原料，天然洁净、泥质细腻。绿色环保，且含有铁、锌、钙、锶等十几种对人体有益的丰富矿物质。

钦州坭兴陶于1915年在美国旧金山获万国博览会金牌奖，1930年在比利时获世界陶艺展览会金质奖。其历代珍品为20多个国家级博物馆所收藏。

钦州坭兴陶最初兴盛于唐代，自清咸丰年间150年以来人才辈出，如黎昶春等

坭兴陶的特色：窑变。钦州坭兴陶不添加任何陶瓷颜料，不上釉，当炉盘上升到1200度的临界点时，自然形成各种色彩斑斓的纹理，如天蓝、古铜、虎纹、大斑、墨绿等。最重要的是，这种窑变的色彩是否能形成，或者形成得好不好看，谁也不能控制。
